Mapping the Digital Gap publishes Annual Outcomes Reports each year, as well as targeted Community Outcomes Reports after each research visit. The project also creates film works in partnership with partner organisations to shine a light on digital inclusion barriers in remote First Nations communities. Explore project outputs below.

2025 Outcomes Report3 Dec 2025 This 2025 Outcomes Report provides the final summary of findings from the first phase of this research in 12 communities. It updates the 2024 report, with new analysis and case studies for Access, Affordability, Digital Ability and Media and Information services. It provides updated ADII scores for the remote research sites visited, facilitating up-to-date comparison against national outcomes for First Nations and non-First Nations Australians. View on APO |

2024 Outcomes Report3 Dec 2024 The 2024 Outcomes report updates the 2023 Outcomes Report, with a focus on the most significant changes registered over the 2022-2024 period. During this time, we have seen significant investment in improving telecommunications infrastructure, including a new mobile service and roll-out of Wi-Fi mesh networks or hotspots in several communities. The report explores changes in digital inclusion over several years, what may be driving these changes, and what further is needed to ensure those living in remote First Nations communities are digitally included. 2023 Outcomes Report26 Sep 2023 This first outcomes report provides an overview of the first year findings from 2022 research visits. It covers key survey results and indicators of the digital gap; context and findings for each of the ten research sites; and analysis of results across the three ADII dimensions of digital inclusion – Access, Affordability and Digital Ability – as well as the crucial role of service delivery and news and media access in these communities.
